Surly-tastic
Worked late last night despite my desire NOT to work late. Came home and got into a screaming fight with Chuck because, well, I was tired and angry and yelling at the cat just isn't as satisfying.
I don't even care that we have Monday off from work.
Chuck made some excellent observations in his blog recently about the bedbug situation. I might not be getting bit by them, but things aren't "normal". Here are some shots of the apartment to demonstrate:
This is a bad picture. It's my bookshelf. It's filled not with books, but with assorted things in Ziploc bags. Anything in a plastic bad is a potential contaminent. We've been too afraid to properly deal with the bagged things.
Here's a picture of the linen closet. It's now my clothes closet (my former closet is in horrible shape, it's filled to the brim with plastic-bagged things--but Chuck's sleeping, so no picture). That square hanging thing on the left is my dresser drawer. Chuck uses the top half, I use the bottom. I have grown to hate it.

Here are Chuck's books--what's left of them. They're in the hallway, in two plastic tubs. On top of that are some Ziploc bags full of videogames, dvds, etc.
This has taken a toll on us. I'm grumpy.
And my grandma isn't doing well, and I feel bad that I can't go out to Arizona to help. Last time she was sick, my dad went out there--but he can't because he's on oxygen.
And I've spent too much money on the bedbugs, and now I'm feeling the financial pinch.
And I haven't knit in over a month.
We have no rugs. Except in the bathroom.
I've only seen baby Matthew and baby Megan once since they were both born.
TGIF?

did you watch the office last night? i had flashbacks to the CB movie festival screening we had...

I haven't checked in for a while -- the bug situation sounds like a freaking nightmare. You have my sympathies.
